Programme


10.00am Welcome by MC Rob Crabtree


10.30am-11.00am Guided tour of grounds and facilities including new St John's Lounge and Crematorium led by Purewa General Manager, Clifton Thomson.


11:15am-12.30pm History talk and guided tour of Notable Graves led by Dr John Priestley, Purewa Cemetery Trust Board Chairman and historian Alistair Watts.


12.30pm-1.15pm Guided tour of grounds and facilities including new St John's Lounge and Crematorium led by Purewa General Manager, Clifton Thomson.


1.45pm-3.00pm History talk and guided tour of Notable Graves led by Dr John Priestley, Purewa Cemetery Trust Board Chairman and historian Alistair Watts.



General Information


Water, basic snacks, and first aid available. Close supervision of children required in older parts of the cemetery. Leashed dogs are welcome on the cemetery tour.

Parking: Limited parking will be available for young families (under 2s) and mobility card holders at the Parsons Road entrance. All others please use the Fancourt Street entrance, or plan to park on the grass verge lining the St Johns Road entrance or surrounding streets.
